Minju Sparks NP-C earned her Bachelor's degree in nursing at Auburn University Montgomery and her Master's degree in Nursing at Auburn University. She is credentialed by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioner as a family nurse practitioner. As a nurse, Minju worked at Jackson Hospital’s Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit recovering immediate post-operative open-heart patients. She also worked on a cardiac telemetry step-down unit caring for a diverse group of patients with congestive heart failure, coronary artery disease, and arrhythmia patients, as well as those preparing for and recovering from procedures such as cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, and pacemaker placement.
Minju has a strong interest in health promotion and care of heart failure and coronary disease patients. Her goal is to optimize community awareness in promoting health and disease prevention. Due to an increase demand for primary caregivers, focusing on health maintenance via awareness in disease prevention is vital to optimize our nation’s healthcare.
Minju is originally from Montgomery, Alabama and grew up as a military child, moving to various parts of the country. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends.
