Stephanie Mayton is a board certified Adult Gerontological Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. She began her medical career as a volunteer for the Southside Virginia Rescue Squad in Petersburg, Virginia when she was 15 years old. She received her nursing degree from Southside Regional Medical Center School of Nursing in 1994. She earned her Bachelors of Science degree from Medical College of Virginia in 2000. Stephanie achieved her Masters of Science in nursing in 2014 from Virginia Commonwealth University.
Her extensive clinical experiences include perioperative, medical surgical, and critical care nursing. In 2001, she began working in the cardiac catheterization laboratory where she worked until she graduated with her masters degree. She has worked in several hospitals in the community to include the Medical College of Virginia, Southside Regional Medical Center, Chippenham Medical Center, and John Randolph Medical Center.
She is a member of the Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners. Stephanie maintains privileges as a nurse practitioner at Southside Regional Medical Center, John Randolph Medical Center, Southampton Regional Medical Center, and CJW Medical Center.
Stephanie and her husband live in Chester with their two children.
