Frederick Schnatz, D.O. is a fellowship trained Interventional Cardiologist joining James River Cardiology August 2018. Dr. Schnatz graduated medical school at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed residency at UPMC Mercy Hospital in 2011. He further advanced his training with a fellowship for cardiovascular disease in 2017 and a fellowship for interventional cardiology in 2018 from Marshall University Health System.

Dr. Schnatz's interests include coronary and peripheral arterial diseases as well as valvular disease specializing in medical and percutaneous treatment options. He also treats general cardiovascular conditions such as hyperlipidemia, hypertension, heart failure, hypertrophy, pericardial diseases and arrhythmias. He looks forward to the opportunity to help his patients live a better, healthier life.

Dr. Schnatz resides in Richmond with is wife Rebecca and their two children. Dr. Schnatz and his family enjoy spending time outdoors fishing, boating, crabbing as well as playing soccer and golf. They also enjoy cooking, entertaining and spending time with family and friends. They are excited to explore their new city and all Richmond has to offer.
