James River Cardiology Front-Line Team Begins Receiving COVID-19 Vaccinations

Recovering the health of our community starts now! Thanks to the tireless commitment of biomedical researchers, the nonstop work of the entire medical community, and volunteers, James River Cardiology began the first FDA-approved COVID-19 vaccinations of its front-line team members this week so that we can safely treat our cardiac patients. We understand that some patients may have questions about the COVID-19 vaccine once it is available to everyone and encourage you to reach out to us at any time to discuss the many reasons to get vaccinated. While the new vaccine offers hope, we all must continue our vigilance, wear facial protection, wash our hands, and practice physical distancing by standing six feet apart as a precaution against the spread of COVID-19.
