Meet Jaspreet Singh, MD

As a highly respected interventional/structural/peripheral cardiologist at James River Cardiology, Dr. Singh is known for his commitment to partnering with patients on their cardiovascular journey toward optimal health. He joined our growing practice in 2017, and since that time has focused on complex high-risk coronary artery interventions, congestive heart failure, transcatheter aortic and mitral valve replacement, watchman device implantation and peripheral vascular disease. But most of all, Dr. Singh is known for his connection with patients at James River Cardiology as we work to reimagine the patient experience in healthcare. To Dr. Singh, serving patients is the greatest privilege.

“Dr. Singh saved my sister's life. He is completely a hero,” writes one patient in a recent review of Dr. Singh’s care. “He has treated my entire family with respect, care, and as if we were his family! No matter what procedure he was doing to my sister's heart, he made sure to explain every step, ask for questions, and made sure we knew he was caring for her like she was the most important patient he had. He continues to treat my sister as if she is the only patient that matters to him.”

Prior to joining our practice, Dr. Singh completed his cardiology and interventional cardiology training at Northwell Health, New York. He is board certified in Cardiology, Echocardiography, Nuclear medicine, and Vascular Ultrasound. Dr. Singh has presented his research and a number of case studies on the stages of various national and international conferences, including American College of Cardiology and European Association of Percutaneous Cardiovascular Interventions meetings.

When he’s not serving patients at James River Cardiology, Dr. Singh enjoys staying active by playing soccer and tennis. But most of all he credits a toddler at home for keeping him fit and on his toes at all times. Dr. Singh, who loves to travel, also finds opportunities to give back to his local community by supporting Meals on Wheels as well as organizations that promote improving patient care and experiences. In addition, he finds inspiration by sharing his knowledge with medical students and nurse partitioners, as Dr. Singh wholeheartedly believes that knowledge shared is knowledge gained.

James River Cardiology is a full-service cardiology practice serving Richmond and the Tri-Cities region, as well as several rural locations along the southern border of Virginia (Franklin, Emporia, and Lawrenceville).
