Kylene Botts, NP
Kylene Botts, NP, earned her Bachelor's degree in nursing in 2006 and her Master's degree in Nursing in 2008, both at Virginia Commonwealth University. The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners credentials her as a family nurse practitioner.
As a nurse, Kylene worked at VCUHS on the cardiac telemetry step-down unit, caring for congestive heart failure and arrhythmia patients and those preparing for and recovering from procedures such as cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, and pacemaker placement. She then worked as a nurse practitioner in primary care from 2008-2016.

Kylene joined James River Cardiology in November 2016. Her interest in health promotion and care of heart failure and coronary disease patients drew her back to the specialty. She currently maintains privileges at Southside Regional Medical Center.

Outside work, Kylene enjoys spending time with her two young children and husband, running, and being outdoors.
