George Eigbire, M.D.

George Eigbire, M.D., is an interventional cardiologist from Tennessee who joins James River Cardiology with extensive clinical and academic experience.  He attended medical school at the University of Debrecen and completed his internal medicine residency at Rochester Regional Health/Unity Hospital.

 

He attended Louisiana State Univeristy Health Science Center in New Orleans for his cardiology fellowship.  Most recently, he completed his interventional fellowship at the University of Tennessee in July of 2023.

 

Dr. Eigbire is board-certified, has written and presented many presentations on the study and application of cardiology treatments/surgeries, is a member of many boards and cardiac groups, and is vascular trained.

Dr. Eigbire is highly active in his free time and enjoys hiking, camping, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and soccer.
